The movie was not good. The screenplay was probably great, but the cinematography and audio ruined it. They needed real cars, going real speeds, in broadcast framerates, with good angles, to actually show the speed and proximity to the limit. I'm certain that no professional racing driver was consulted with the cinematography because it made a childrens playground toy out of these cars. You dont need computer fakery to make these cars visceral. You only cheapen it. It was like watching morning traffic in a suburb. Not the experience of even modern F1, which in itself is a poor substitute. Same with Ford vs Ferrari. A 1969 television broadcast is more visceral than the racing scenes in these modern films. Its nothing short of a disservice to the sport, it's champions, and to the machines themselves.

They are a temporary thing. it costs to much to make the electric cars, it takes to much fossil fuels to make the electric cars and how exspensive are. so here is what is going to happen: eventually we will go back to gas cars, but not with the fuels we use today. we will be using renewable fuels, fuels that are not bad for the environment, and places such as formula one and nascar are going to be the areas where these fuels will be tested, this is why more road car brands are in F1, Ferrari, Audi, Mercedes.. experimenting with new fuels will allow the future to move away from electric cars and into “gas cars” so #savetheengines is only temporary. your welcome

He definitely wants to come back to racing, only thing stopping him is that he wants to spend more time with his family and racing F1 will remove that from him. Also said that his desire from wanting to have time with his family is greater than his desire in wanting to race again.

In case anyone is interested, I have F1 tv which has archived footage going all the way back to 1970. So I just watched the opening grid order for the 2012 US Grand Prix and Alonso started in 7th (qualifying time of 1:37.300) and Massa started in 11th (because of the 5 place grid penalty)

Who's Logan? In all seriousness, he will likely finish the season but it will be his last season in F1. Sainz or Bottas may very well replace him.
